With all the gold in the mountains of Oregon, there is definately a large amount of quartz as well.  Unfortunately, most of it gets crushed for precious metal extraction.  Here are a few crystals/clusters that managed to dodge complete obliviation and that I was lucky enough to discover.

All specimens listed below are from Lane County, Oregon, USA.

This cluster of quartz has good luster, a few metallic inclusions (yet to be determined), and on some of the crystals there is a small amount of druzy quartz. With very minimal damage, this is a fantastic cluster from here in Oregon.   This specimen measures 6.9 x 5 x 3.8 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-1
$20

A larger cluster with fantastic luster and some very interesting twinning.  Almost zero damage (two tiny dings) makes this a very impressive cluster from here in the state of Oregon.  No inclusions in this piece.  This specimen measures 10 x 5.5 x 5.5 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-2
$35

Another cluster with good luster, very minimal damage, and great aesthetics.  This specimen measures 6.5 x 5.7 x 4 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-3
$20

This cluster of smaller crystals has great luster and some iron inclusions coloring some of the crystals orange.  Only one tiny crystal tip is dinged.  This specimen measures 7.3 x 6.7 x 5.2 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-4
$25

An interesting cluster with a decent amount of druzy (sugar) quartz.  Reminds me of the "spirit quartz" from South Africa.  A couple crystals on the very edges lost thir tips, but everything in the middle of the specimen is perfect.  This specimen measures 7 x 4.1 x 3.8 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-5
$15

This cluster features larger crystals with great luster and several metallic inclusions.  2 tips are have very slight dings, but are nearly un-noticable.  This specimen measures 6.4 x 5.2 x 4 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-6
$15

A larger cluster with many crystals.  One area sheared off during the mining process (see photo 1).  This piece has fantastic luster, and a little extra matrix (but I do not have the means for removal) .  This specimen measures 8 x 6 x 6.3 cm.   Specimen ORQTZ-8
$25

A fantastic single douby-terminated crystal for this state! One side is highly elestial and there is a second, smaller crystal growing from near the base.  This is from a very small find that produced less than 3 kg of crystals, and is not from the same location as the previous clusters.  This specimen measures 3.8 x 1.3 x 1.7 cm.  Specimen ORQTZ-9
$10
